Following a successful supply chain partnership between NBM & Allied Telesis throughout 2013, the External Sales Team, joined by NBM Technical Manager Rob Richardson, were invited to join Chris Hay and James Blumlein of Allied Telesis at the Allied Telesis Head Quarters in Swindon, Wiltshire on Tuesday 12th November to receive updates on the full range of Allied Telesis Product portfolio and the expected Product Enhancement road map into 2014
The day consisted in a series of presentations to the NBM team highlighting the evolution of networks including Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI, ATM and where the evolution is continuing and a full recap and overview of the existing AT product portfolio
There was also an explanation of how networks are constructed including the deployment of core and edge switches and benefits of PoE and understanding PoE budget.
The day ended for the team with a Tour of the workshop where testing, repairs and configurations are worked upon.
