Product Update from NBM : NEW IEC LOCK+ C13 launch

NBM Distribution Ltd are very pleased to announce the launch of IEC LOCK+ C13 which builds on the success of the original IEC Lock and brings to market a more sophisticated model which features a new release mechanism.

The new release mechanism incorporated allows for disconnection from all sides and requires no other equipment or special inlets to secure it, simply plug it into an appliance as you would a standard IEC lead.

The new IEC Lock+ C13 has been designed to be implemented in areas where access is limited and ease of removal is of paramount importance. Especially on some specific servers from HP and Dell.

The red cage release mechanism also marks the new connector out from standard non locking IEC leads. This is especially important in data centres where there are likely to be thousands of leads and allows maintenance and other data centre staff to clearly identify critical and non-critical power sources

Regarding availability, IEC LOCK+ C13 has been designed for specific projects (as mentioned above). It will not substitute the current connector and is considered as an addition to answer specific requirements.

NBM are currently not stocking the product but will assess the situation on going to consider the possibility of keeping stock should the need arise.
