In an awards ceremony on Thursday 9th May Brand-Rex was named runner up in the Manufacturer of the Year category at the Green IT Awards, with computer giant Dell picking up the top accolade. The awards presented at a ceremony in the Grand Connaught Rooms in London were attended by over 140 guests, including the Brand-Rex Green Team and key environmental customers and partners, who gathered to see the outcome of the readers online voting and judging panel’s deliberations. |

Brand-Rex Environmental Development Manager Kennedy Miller said: ‘To get this far has been a remarkable achievement for Brand-Rex, especially being up against such strong competition. To come runner up is testament to the hard work the Brand-Rex team has undertaken over the past few years to reduce our carbon footprint. On behalf of Brand-Rex, I would like to thank all who voted for us’.In 2011 Brand-Rex became the first cabling company to achieve Carbon Neutral status for its global operations and in 2012 the first to offer Carbon Neutral products.
The Green IT Awards, now in their fourth year, aim to showcase and reward the technology, tools and solutions as well as the companies and organisations that have made a significant contribution to improving the IT industry‘s environmental performance over the past 12 months.
